Iron ore mining volumes generated by Fortescue in the June quarter were 36% higher than the previous quarter due to improved efficiencies, which included a restructure of its mining team.
Total iron ore mined rose to 8.90m tonnes in the June quarter from 6.54m tonnes in the three months ending March, the iron ore producer said in its quarterly report.
