Newcastle coal exports rise as queues shorten

Coal exports from the port of Newcastle have surged 10% from levels a week ago.

Exports from Newcastle, the world's largest coal export terminal, rose to 2.05m tonnes for the week ended July 13, compared with 1.86m for the week ended July 6, according to data posted on the Newcastle Port Corporation website.
