Tufton Oceanic acquires half Allco fleet

Tufton Oceanic has acquired 50% of a 14-vessel fleet which was under the banner of Allocean Charters (Singapore) in what the ship-finance boutique firm intends to be the first of many distressed asset acquisitions.

The fleet of Allocean Charters (Singapore) is now 100% controlled through a new investment company, which is jointly owned with private investment vehicle SIF, and may be used for further acquisitions in shipping.
