A fire broke out at Sydney's Newport Anchorage Marina yesterday resulting in six pleasure craft being destroyed.

The initial fire aboard one boat spread to others, one of which broke its moorings.
Strong winds blew the flames onto nearby watercraft and jetties, destroying or damaging eight large pleasure boats.
