Big forwarders win market share at sea
While half-year results from the world’s top two logistics giants, Deutsche Post DHL and Kuehne+Nagel, continue to paint a no-growth picture for the full year 2009, both continue to gain market share in sea freight.
Despite the gloom of 2009, the forwarders' performance in winning market share, particularly in sea freight, has one analyst suggesting that deepsea lines may be the losers after cutting back on customer-service staff.
