A better than expected start to the crop season has prompted National Australia Bank to revise higher its wheat production forecast for the next financial year.

All in hand: NAB predicts rebound for Australia's agriculture sector

According to the bank's June quarter survey of the agribusiness sector, Australian wheat production is on track to rise by 8% in 2009/10 to 23.2m tonnes.

The NAB forecast in April that wheat production would fall by less than 1% in 2009/10...
