The Suez Canal Authority is offering shipowners discounts of up to 30% in a bid to drive more traffic through the canal.
A local Egyptian source told Lloyd’s List that the authority was offering discounts of 25%-30% to some shipowners in response to a decline in the number of vessels using the waterway.
