CSCL increases freight rates
CHINA Shipping Container Lines, China’s second largest box carrier, has raised freight rates by between US$200 and US$300 per teu on signs of improved market conditions.
The increases lifted rates on Asia-Europe services to US$1,100 per teu. CSCL managing director Huang Xiaowen told local media that the current business environment had stabilised, allowing CSCL to launch a rate restoration initiative.
