NSW farmers greet grain train move with caution

WHILE the NSW Farmers Association gave a qualified welcome to news in June that GrainCorp would gain branch-line locomotives and rolling stock, its concern for the lines themselves remained unabated.

The state’s peak farmers group was also wary of the power the move would give the agribusiness, a spokesman said.
But it was the level of future investment in line maintenance that had the farmers worried and they were not...
