Sichem Peace crew freed
SIX seafarers abducted from an Eitzen chemtanker and held hostage for nearly three weeks by militants in the Niger Delta have been released, according to a statement from EMS Ship Management.
The men were seized from the 2005-built, 8,800 dwt Sichem Peace on July 4, and were freed at 1700 on Tuesday. The statement did not specify whether or not a ransom had been paid.
