PORT charges would face upward pressure once ownership of the port of Brisbane changed to private hands, Australia’s peak shipping line representative has warned.

Shipping Australia chief executive Llew Russell said its members were “not greatly supportive” of the sale announced last month.
And neither are the Queensland voters.
