Searching for the right answers: questions are being raised on how the huge US$250bn financing gap for newbuildings can be filled when the banking market has all but closed to shipping?

SUBTRACT US$250bn of already financed ships from a newbuilding orderbook of about US$500bn, and what are you left with?
Unfortunately, the answer is another US$250bn of unfinanced newbuilding contracts.
