THE LARGE number of ships laid up in storm-exposed areas across Asia are “zip code” insurance risks, the London market has warned.

Surveyors, brokers and insurers have raised the alarm over the potential “concentration of risk” posed by out-of-work ships parked in close proximity in areas that suffer seasonal tropical storms.
