AWB crops Brazilian operation

AUSTRALIAN agribusiness AWB has decided to wind down its troubled Brazilian division, which is expected to post a pre-tax loss in the current financial year.
“The decision was based on an assessment that the current business model in Brazil cannot be operated in a manner which aligns it with the four key strategic objectives of the AWB Group,” the company said in a statement.
