Austal customer sails into bankruptcy owing $21m

A customer of Australian-based shipmaker Austal filed for bankruptcy in the US this week, owing more than US$20m.

Hawai'i Superferry, which filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in the US court of Delaware, owes Austal US$21.3m, the company said in a statement to the stock exchange yesterday.
