Peak pricing to improve efficiency, not revenue: Sydney Ports

Sydney Ports Corporation has assured road carriers that tens of millions of dollars expected to be generated by new peak pricing at Port Botany will be re-invested into landside improvements.

The corporation yesterday announced a $160 fee would be applied to every vehicle booking slot taken during peak times at the port from early next year.

Some carriers have estimated that this could generate more than $100m for the corporation each...
