Chinese ports have seen a significant rebound in cargo volumes for three consecutive months since the country’s stimulus package was introduced in March.

An official paper from the Ministry of Transport said cargo throughput at China ports had increased 5% year on year to 546m tonnes in May.

Export and domestic cargo throughput climbed 4.7% and 5.1% to 182m tonnes and 364m tonnes respectively.
