Cathay Pacific chief to lead IATA in 'critical period'
The International Air Transport Association (IATA) has named Cathay Pacific Airways chief executive Tony Tyler as chairman of its board of governors for the next 12 months.
Mr Tyler will replace Royal Jordanian Airlines chief executive Samer Majali, who was appointed chair in June last year.
FedEx chief executive David Bronczek will assume the position in June 2010.
