The Australian Shipowners Association (ASA) has backed the Federal Government's anti-piracy effort off the Horn of Africa.

The government will commit an Anzac-class frigate, a RAAF AP-3C Orion patrol aircraft, along with skills, expertise and a financial contribution to the international Counter Piracy Program.
