Widespread rain a boost for winter grain crop
Widespread rainfall in late autumn and early winter is likely to result in an increased 2009/10 winter grain crop, according to the Australian Bureau of Agricultural and Resource Economics (ABARE) June crop report.
Good news in hand for grain exports
Most growing areas received their average autumn rainfall and with more rain in early June, the majority of farmers were able to sow their winter crops, ABARE said.
