Rising fuel costs force shipping lines back to Suez

Grand Alliance lines are likely to follow the rest of the industry and switch back to Suez Canal transits, rather than divert ships around southern Africa.

Most container lines are already preparing to revert to traditional routes for their Europe-Asia services because of rising fuel costs.
