Swire Shipping will concentrate on its core Australasia-Pacific business after deciding to close its two round-the-world services and cut 200 of its 550 liner trades staff.

The move follows a comprehensive review of all the company’s liner services as part of the integration of New Zealand-based Tasman Orient Line (TOL), which became a full subsidiary earlier this year.
