Coal trucks get unlimited access to Port Kembla

Trucks are now free to move coal and bulk goods to the Port Kembla Coal Terminal 24 hours a day, seven days a week after the New South Wales Government removed a 27-year-old curfew.

The Department of Planning approved a submission by Port Kembla's coal terminal to lift the curfew which had limited the hours coal could be received by the terminal to between 7am and 6pm, Monday to Saturday.
