Coal exports from the port of Newcastle have fallen 15% from their levels a week ago, with the average waiting time for vessels surging to almost two weeks.

Exports from Newcastle, the world's biggest coal export terminal, dropped to 1.52m tonnes for the week ended June 22, compared with 1.80m tonnes for the week to June 15, Newcastle Port Corporation said on its website.
