Drilling rig in Geelong for repair
THE MAERSK Drilling-operated Kan Tan IV rig arrived in the port of Geelong on June 3 for a six-week repair and refurbishment program.
Owned by the Sinopec Star Petroleum Corporation, the semi-submersible rig was floated off the Sunda-owned, 1992-built heavy-lift ship, Transporter, in a three-hour operation before being towed to Lascelles wharf for the refit.
