Newcastle coal exports on rise

COAL exports from the port of Newcastle continue to rise while the number of ships waiting to load coal has also increased.
Figures released on the Newcastle Port Corporation website last week showed that the amount of coal shipped rose to 1.9m tonnes in the week ending June 1 from 1.59m tonnes in the week ending May 25.
There were 40 ships...
