RAIL infrastructure spending failed to get a mention in this month’s South Australian State Budget but continued funding to unblock Adelaide’s road freight arteries is seen as crucial to improving efficiency.

The government will spend $683m to transform South Road into a continuous non-stop route from the Southern Expressway to the Port River Expressway and $267m to continue work on the Northern Expressway to link the Gawler Bypass with Port Wakefield...
