Asia seizes the moment
IN THE face of a global economic meltdown Asian governments acted quicker and with more monetary largesse than counterparts in the US and Europe.
The International Monetary Fund said Asian governments have promised in excess of US$950bn through subsidies, increased expenditure and tax cuts as of May.
As key components of the larger Asian economies, shipping and shipbuilding were bound to be beneficiaries...
