Rotterdam signals cargo recovery

ROTTERDAM, Europe’s largest port by volume, believes cargo volumes will recover during the fourth quarter of 2009 and strengthen in 2010.
Port chief executive Hans Smits said that a decline in cargo volumes through the north European container and bulk hub could bottom out by the end of the second quarter, but warned that it would take three to four years...
