Pirates to release Belgian dredger

SOMALI pirates may shortly release hijacked Belgian dredging vessel Pompei and its 10-man crew, perhaps as soon as this week, according to Reuters reports.

“Negotiations to release the ship have been under way for more than 20 days,” a pirate, who gave his name as Mohamed Ali, told the news agency in a satellite phone interview.
