WA considers u-turn on grain trains
THE WESTERN Australian Government could reconsider a request for a $45m investment into the state’s troubled grain rail network after the closure of four branch lines last week.
Rail operator WestNet had lobbied the state and federal governments for funding the trackwork as part of their respective budget announcements over the past six weeks.
But neither government has been prepared to commit to the work in their budget...
