ACCC okay for Hunter coal plan
A short-term capacity balancing system has been approved to help manage the flow of Hunter Valley coal to and through the port of Newcastle.
Last week the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) issued a draft decision authorising the scheme on the condition that long-term capacity problems are addressed.
It will be known as the Stage One Allocation System.
