A time to bunker down
Australia's trade and transport-related employers are well-advanced in efforts to trim staff numbers and rein in unnecessary spending as the global economic downturn hits revenue.
The news came as the Australian Logistics Council this week called on the transport and logistics industry to concentrate on cutting fat from budgets, even if it meant axing staff, in order to survive the recession.
