Greenpeace tries to block nuclear cargo

Environmental organisation Greenpeace was trying to drum up opposition to the departure of a shipment of nuclear fuel from the French port of Cherbourg to Japan last week.

Greenpeace, which said that the 1.8-tonne shipment would be the biggest ever involving fissile material, has appealed to the International Atomic Energy Agency to intervene.
