Kuehne+Nagel: volumes to fall
Kuehne+Nagel, the world's number one sea freight forwarder, is predicting further cargo falls across the spectrum of ocean, air and land logistics in 2009 after posting a 3% rise in turnover to SFr21.6bn (US$18.3bn) for 2008.
The Swiss-based supply chain giant, which saw its sea freight business climb 2% to 2.6m teu last year, overcame the rapid economic downturn and currency exchange volatility to report static earnings before interest and tax of SFr1bn.
