Grimaldi urges cutting ships over 30 years old

Grimaldi Naples managing director Emanuele Grimaldi has called for a mandatory phase-out of all vessels over 30 years old to alleviate the crisis ravaging the industry.

Speaking at the launch of the company's latest cruise ferry at Fincantieri's Caste-llammare di Stabia yard, Mr Grimaldi said that this is a unique opportunity to address the problem of excess tonnage and low demand.
