Meat exports higher thanks to dollar
Beset by fire and flood, Australian farmers have been given something to smile about with record beef and lamb volumes going to the US and Indonesia.
They were the highlights of a record performance overall, that strengthened hopes that a food boom might shoulder some of the burden left by lower demand for other commodities.
