Samsun Logix has become the fourth shipping company to seek parallel bankruptcy protection in New York, after being granted similar protection by Seoul's central district court.
The move is a bid to stave off attempts to attach dollar-denominated Samsun Logix funds as they electronically pass through New York, and an attempt to ensure equal payment treatment of all creditors if the request is granted.
