While the truck-driving workforce has also been hit by the global situation, the outlook does not appear to be quite as gloomy as for shipping according to industry representatives.

Australian Trucking Association (ATA) spokesman Bill McKinley said that while some trucking companies were experiencing a decline, others were doing well, adding that the performance of each trucking company depends on the type of goods it carried.
