Clouds form over stevedore jobs . . .
The Maritime Union of Australia warned that many more stevedoring jobs in Australia could be on the chopping block this year if the global financial situation does not ease soon.
The union is currently in talks with stevedoring operators Patrick and DP World about offering at least 100 voluntary redundancies to workers across both companies, Mick Dolman, MUA assistant national secretary told Lloyd's List DCN.
