A new era for Australian transport coverage

Lloyd’s List DCN today enters a new era in its history with the launch of a new interactive website designed to bring its readers, contributors and commercial partners closer.

Connection: Lloyd's List DCN launches new website

The new website coincides with the tenth anniversary of the publication celebrated last week and involves free access to everyone until May 27.

From today, the online portal will give you access to The List in real time, providing up-to-minute information on Australian import and export schedules, as well as vessel arrivals and agent information.

The new List Online replaces the printed version, which will continue to appear in your hard copy of Lloyd’s List DCN until May 21.

Readers are encouraged to visit Lloyd’s List DCN’s help desk in the event of accessibility issues.

A special new feature being launched today will give readers access to a list of all ports of call for a specific vessel.

Readers will continue to have access to information about ships currently at Australian ports and first port-of-call information for imports.

Australia’s number one maritime and transport classifieds section has also been expanded online giving employers the ability to create a job advertisement within minutes.

Job seekers will benefit from an easy-access search system to find the position that matches their skills.

As part of a dynamic news interface launched today, your daily newswire will now also link you to daily casualty and piracy updates from our local and overseas bureaus.

Readers can access the main news page or through an RSS feed as well as being given access to Lloyd’s List DCN’s extensive archive.

The new site includes a new blog section – fostering debate from within the transport industry – and video content from here and overseas.

In today’s blog, readers are invited to discuss the way the Federal Government should balance investment in much-needed infrastructure with the need to minimise next week’s budget deficit.

Regular readers of the Out & About page, which appears with your printed copy of Lloyd’s List DCN every week, will now have access to these pictures and event stories online.

Delegates of Lloyd’s List DCN events can keep up to date on new conferences and training days through the new website.

Lloyd’s List DCN will soon launch a revamped electronic newswire and will give you online access to the annual Lloyd's List DCN Shipping, Air, Road, Rail Directory.

Lloyd’s List DCN Online builds on foundations made when one of the world’s oldest newspapers, Lloyd’s List, established an Australian edition in 1993 and then six years later streamlined it with the locally-produced, 108-year-old maritime and trade news source, Daily Commercial News.
