ALC chief quiet on shift south

Australian Logistics Council (ALC) chief executive Hal Morris would not be drawn today on his future or a report that he would not join its move south, probably to Canberra.

Mr Morris referred any queries to the ALC board.

However, it is understood the ALC is preparing to advertise his position.

Acting chairman Ian Murray said there had been no official resignations or terminations at the ALC so far, since the decision to move had been made.

"The ALC will be moving, preferably to Canberra, within the next six months, and it's really Hal's decision if he wants to move with it," Mr Murray said.

The ALC said on May 15 that it would relocate from southeast Queensland.

The move followed a Federal Government decision to reduce funding for the organisation.
