Santos, May 6

The crude oil tanker Zhen Hua 27 (49279 gt, built 1989), berthed at Santos Brasil Terminal and due to discharge cargo had her mooring ropes break in a strong gale with winds of around 70 kilometres per hour.
She then came into contact with product tanker Amalthia (5032 gt, built 2008) which was supplying bunkers to it.
The Amalthia did not sustain any damage but a suction hose was damaged, causing an oil spill on board.
Now out of control, the Zhen Hua 27 came into contact with bulk carrier Kyla (70517 gt, built 1982) which was also berthed at the terminal.
