New vessel to deliver information

by Jim Wilson last modified May 21, 2009 03:52 PM

THE LIFT-OUT List section of Australia’s leading source of maritime market information will shift fully online from today.

The change is part of a new and improved Lloyd’s List DCN, which will continue to provide updated news on its website in addition to the printed edition each week.
News, market information and analysis will continue to appear in the weekly edition, which will be published without a printed version of The List from next week.
All of the information that has been published in The List each week will now be available at www.lloydslistdcn.com.au/the-list, including up-to-the-minute information that the printed edition did not previously provide.
In addition to the normal options, the site also allows subscribers to launch voyage itineraries, a function enabling the reader to see a list of all calls in a vessel’s journey.
Details of the functions are available on page 12 today and online at www.lloydslistdcn.com.au/the-list/Instructions.
Lloyd’s List DCN launched a new website on May 6 which has initially allowed all of the news and information to be available to readers.
This unlimited access will continue until May 27, when the site will again require subscribers to log-in.
Subscribers will receive confirmation of their log-in and password details to ensure they continue to have online access.
The printed edition of the paper will continue normal delivery.
Some subscribers will have been automatically upgraded to the Industry Package, giving them access to all of the online news content and the shipping information.
The News Package provides full access to news and opinion online as well as the weekly printed edition.
However, non-subscribers can continue to receive the daily news bulletin by email for free.
Simply go to:
 www.lloydslistdcn.com.au/free-e-news to register your details.
Some readers will have benefited from being listed as a fully-paid subscriber’s colleague or friend and, as a result, will have until now received the full electronic news for free.
These readers will be given free access to 2-3 news stories each day until they sign-up to one of the two streamlined subscription packages.
