Merger plan achievable: outgoing CBFCA chairman

A merger of Australia's forwarding and customs broking peak bodies would not be easy but was very achievable, outgoing Customs Brokers and Forwarders Council of Australia (CBFCA) chairman Darryl Sharp told the group's annual meeting on Friday.

Mr Sharp said he was pleased that, after eight years on the CBFCA board, he could see the current "disciplined approach" to the merger with the Australian Federation of International Forwarders was giving the concept "every chance to finally succeed".
