FCAI 'making progress' on wrangle with AAT
The Federal Chamber of Automotive Industries (FCAI) believes it is making headway in a push for transparency in its members' dealings with vehicle stevedoring firm Australian Amalgamated Terminals, especially in relation to Brisbane's Fisherman Islands.
The FCAI had sought market-power rulings from Queensland and federal competition authorities earlier in the year after fee hikes of 35% and 37% over the past two years and an inability to negotiate with AAT.
