Teekay reports US$43m net loss

Shipping conglomerate Teekay Corp fell deeper into the red in the third quarter after earnings were hit by this year’s dire tanker spot market rates.
Teekay reported a net loss of US$43m in the July-September period, compared with net profit of US$94m in the same quarter last year, as spot earnings fell below operating costs for most of the last four months.
