ITF seeks ban on transiting pirate zone

The International Transport Workers’ Federation wants ships banned from transiting pirate-infested waters in the Indian Ocean.
The ITF said the risk of armed hijackings in the Indian Ocean was now so great that shipowners were breaching their duty of care to crew by sending ships through the region.
