Toll's heavyweight logistics profile has received a boost of at least $1bn and possibly double that with managing director Paul Little saying today the company expects to sign a hefty defence department contract for relocation services.

The deal will involve movement of military and departmental personnel and household effects, including flights, temporary accommodation, allowances and reimbursements.
