Call for NSW to tighten chain of responsibility laws

The New South Wales Roads and Traffic Authority's (RTA) mid-month Supreme Court failure against GrainCorp has prompted assistant transport minister David Borger to call for a tightening of the state's road freight chain of responsibility laws.

Announcing a review of the regulations, Mr Borger confirmed the NSW Government was committed to "holding all parties in the supply chain accountable for achieving high levels of safety and compliance in road freight".
